Battle of Stalingrad was a major battle fought in World War II in which the Nazis and its allies fought the Soviet Union for control of the city Stalingrad in Southern Russia. This resulted in 734,000 Soviet Union deaths and missings and another 478,741 Nazis killed or missing.
